We’re excited to announce that Matt & Grace from The Golden Road will be leading an El Camino de Costa Rica hike with us, starting on April 3, 2025.
Hi friends!! We are so excited you’re interested in walking across Costa Rica with us! As you may know already, we’ve walked across the United States twice and we hiked the Colorado trail. Needless to say, hiking adventures are our favorite!! We are big fans of community, pushing ourselves outside our comfort zone and exploring new places! What better way to do this together than across Costa Rica?! We can’t wait!!
The Golden Road

Dates: April 3, 2025 – April 17, 2025. Unlike our other tours, this trip is door to door meaning we are handling logisitics from airport pick up to drop off.

Itinerary Summary
- April 3: Fly into San Jose (SJO) airport and get settled in.
- April 4: Start the hike! We’ll ceremoniously touch the Caribbean Ocean and begin.
- April 5: Begin the ascent!
- April 6: Hike through Cabreca land with indigenous guide
- April 7: Raft the Pacuare River
- April 8: Cross sugarcane fields
- April 9: Cross the Rio Pejibaye
- April 10: Beautiful landscape transition from sugarcane to coffee
- April 11: Rolling hills and coffee plantations
- April 12: Hike through Bosque Nobuso
- April 13: Big ascent! La Cuesta de Enero
- April 14: Reach the highest point on the trail
- April 15: First glimpse of the Pacific Ocean
- April 16: We did it! Reach the Pacific Ocean
- April 17: Fly home
